Nicotine addiction treatment requires personal attention and coaching
Alcoholism is not treated with only a pill or a patch because recovery is complex and requires a human and customized approach. Nicotine is considered by some experts to be the MOST POWERFUL addiction, yet the strategies most commonly used to treat nicotine addicted people do not reflect that.
Common barriers to prescription medications or Nicotine Replacement Therapies for treating tobacco dependence include side effects and compliance. Anther common option in corporate environments is cessation classes-SNOOZE ALERT! These traditional options are still stale, tired and outdated. Not much has changed in the industry, except the introduction of a new class of highly addictive nicotine delivery systems; Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems (ENDS).
